Aftercare for Reflection

Small ways to leave slowly after something has been seen.

After reflective work, the most useful step is often ordinary. Wash the cup. Walk outside. Write down three factual observations. Let the body rejoin the room before making a large conclusion.

If a strong feeling has appeared, do not rush to turn it into a permanent meaning. Give it a humane container: food, rest, a trusted person, a simple plan for the next day.

The clear mirror is not meant to keep you staring at yourself. It should help you return to life with a little more honesty and a little less force.
